On Episode 089 of the RETROZEST podcast, DIANE FRANKLIN (aka Monique Junot) returns to the show to promote her new book, Diane Franklin: The Excellent COMEDY of The Last American, French-Exchange Babe of the 80s aka The BETTER OFF DEAD Movie Tribute Book! Diane was last on the podcast in August of 2020 (on retrozest.com/EP016) in celebration of the 35th Anniversary of Savage Steve Holland’s cult classic film, BETTER OFF DEAD (released on August 23, 1985)! Joining Curtis and Diane on the interview is Superfan and independent filmmaker Ken Potocki! Ken and Diane share some very unique stories of how Ken became the only fan to ever get a photo with both John Cusack and Diane together; as well as how Ken connected Diane with Cy Curnin of The Fixx and was thus indirectly responsible for Diane receiving the original “Ricky photo” frame used in the film!
