Today (2/11/2021) would have been a landmark 85th Birthday for legendary actor Burt Reynolds, who passed away on September 6, 2018. I wanted to honor his memory by sharing some photographs my Mother Donita Lanclos (a huge Burt Reynolds fan) snapped at the Lakewood Fairgrounds in 1976.
These pics were taken during the filming of the final scenes of Smokey and the Bandit, and I was in the grandstands with my Mom when she captured them. You can see Pat McCormick (aka Big Enos Burdette) and Paul Williams (aka Little Enos Burdette) in a couple of shots. Also present with us were my Aunt Janice, Cousin Jeff, Aunt Ann and Cousin Charles.

Incidentally, you may help the RetroZest podcast by purchasing a unique Smokey & the Bandit T-Shirt or two (many different designs and colors!) from our store by clicking HERE.
